180 Degree Rule
The 180 degree rule of film making is the techniques that helps the audience keep track of where the characters are in a scene. When you have two or more people facing each other in the same shot, you must establish a 180 degree angle, axis or straight line between them. If you were to break the 180 rule the camera would capture a shot know as a reverse angle which would confuse and disorientate the viewers.
