Donald L Mosher & Mark Sirkin
Hypermasculinity is a psychological term for the exaggeration of male stereotypical behavior, such as an emphasis on physical strength, aggression, and sexuality. This term has been used ever since the research conducted by Donald L. Mosher and Mark Sirkin in 1984. The theoy of hypermausculinity is something I am going to keep in mind when contructing the representaions for my final project, as males often play the roles of being the antagonist or protagonist I am considering challenging this stereotype and casting a strong female lead as my villain. how ever i may go in another direction and cast the roles, keeping the traditional in mind in order to convey a more sociological message about the inequality and imbalance in our society.
